The 1911 Fiber Optic Rear Sights by NOVAK are designed to maximize available light for fast, low-light sight acquisition. These sights utilize the advanced light gathering properties of fiber optic rods, making the most of ambient light to provide a bright glow that stands out against dark backgrounds, ensuring you can acquire your target quickly, even in low-light or high-stress situations.

Customizable Options

Both front and rear sights are sold separately, allowing you to create a custom three-dot fiber optic system tailored to your shooting needs. Available with red or green inserts, the Lo-Mount rear sights feature radiused edges that won’t snag on your holster or clothing.

Specifications

  • Material: Machined steel with a matte black finish and fiber optic rods in red or green.
  • Colt Rear Sight: 1" (2.5cm) long, .72" (1.8cm) wide, .46" (1.17cm) high, with a .125" (3.2mm) wide notch. Fits Government model; milling required, instructions included.
  • Kimber Rear Sight: Green insert. 1.080" (2.7cm) long, .704" (1.8cm) wide, with a .125" wide notch. Fits factory dovetails of Kimber 1911 pistols; minor fitting may be required.
  • Taurus Rear Sight: Green inserts. .76” (1.9cm) long, .625” (1.6cm) wide, with a .135” (3.4mm) wide notch. Fits Taurus 1911 pistols; minor fitting may be required.

As with all Novak sights, this one is excellent.
The target is much easier to hit dead center, and visibility is great in low to bright light.
