Not a drop in piece! (29/03/2016)

These are not pretensioned, in fact I think it had a negative bend. You will have to set the tension before fitting to gun.

Not a Stainless Steel Color and needed a lot of fitting to work

Calipers measure the extractor as slightly beefier than blueprint specs, which is a nice change from others that appear to be a bit towards to thin side. Though not identical, this Brownells extractor reminds me of the Wilson Heavy Duty, which is also a fatty (in a good way). Easy to fit to gun, with the goal of minimizing contact between the tip of the claw to the bevel of the ammunition case (how I was taught to fit them), good grip on case and consistent feeding/extraction. With the assumption that the steel is good stuff and heat treated properly, I'll wager this one will last a while. I'm not a gunsmith, just an amateur tinkerer with a penchant for calipers.
