Works perfectly (04/05/2017)

This mag release dropped in perfectly to my Sig 1911 Super Target and works with all my magazines (several different manufacturers).

Great Product Easy To Install (06/12/2012)

I installed this on a RIA Tactical 1911 in 45ACP. The installation did not go well at first. The lock ring would not lock into the frame. I had to sand down the end of the lock so it would lock into the frame.

Once I did that it fit and worked great! I love the oversize pad. It is textured and gives a very solid surface to release the magazine. It makes speed drills even faster with even less pistol cant when releasing the magazines.

Not Quite Right for a Sig 1911 (24/08/2014)

I bought this for a SIG 1911 TAC. I knew some fitting might be required but jeeze!. Shaping the locking end was no big deal but getting the internal dimensions to fit a magazine was a mess. The shape difference between the stock sig part and Wilson part is bout 1/4 of internal metal on the lock side which must be removed to get a slide to lock-up and drop. Using hand tools, I'm just about finished but next time I'll buy a "drop in" or have the stock button drilled and tapped. This was a dumb idea and I'm pretty good with the tools.

Drop-in fit and looking good (16/12/2015)

Bought this some time ago, and put it on a Colt Government Model 1911/1991 along with a Wilson Tactical thumb safey I just purchased today. Unlike the safety which required some fitting, this mag release dropped right in, fit and functioned perfectly. And like the thumb safety, the blued finish is a dead-on match for the original Colt part.
