Durable, Good-Looking Stainless Steel Replacement

Durable stainless steel recoil spring plug replaces a lost or damaged plug. CNC-machined from 316 stainless steel bar stock with an attractive brushed finish and a Flat uncheckered end or a Ringed end. Both styles give a sleek, elegant look and resist marring from either the bushing or bushing wrench during assembly and disassembly.

SPECS: 316 stainless steel, satin finish. 1½" (3.8cm) long, ½" (1.3cm) O.D.

Ringed cap bullet proof recoil plug (10/01/2011)

Recoil plug was just a touch long, but a couple of passes with a file had it fitting perfectly in no time.

Ok part (23/05/2011)

used on a project 1911, looks nice but had to be cut down to fit a Colt Gold Cup, was too long over all

Like a Pretty Cake but with a Bad Taste (11/08/2011)

I really wanna give this thing a 4 rating. But to do so would deny truth. It's pretty, this is true but if you have a Springfield Armory 1911, I would ask you to check the length of this plug with your slide before you true to actually install it. I had to chop down about 1mm off the back to make it fit mine. That just isn't right in my opinion, I shouldn't have to do that.

Like the others stated, the plug was too long, but I found that I could cut it down with my 45 Colt case trimmer. I then deburred it and it was good to go.Looks great on my Dan Wesson PM7-45

Dropped in perfectly on my RIA GI (29/05/2012)

I installed this in my RIA 5" GI pistol without any problems. It dropped in without needing shortened so if you plan on using in an RIA, I wouldn't worry about it being to long.

This is a great piece for those of us that try to make our 1911 a little different than the next guy. I have this plug in blue and SS. It's beautiful and looks cool. It's a great alternative to the standard checkered plug. It dropped right in on my Dan Wesson. My gun enthusiast friends have all commented on the looks. This is purely for looks, and it won't disappoint. Like all Wilson parts, the SS is high shine and may not match your finish. The quality is impeccable as expected.

Simple but good looking plug (22/08/2015)

I was looking at custom engraved plugs to set my 1911 build apart a bit. But when I saw these I opted for my build.

These are simple and distinctive looking plugs that will make your 1911 much more interesting to look at.

Dropped right in and looks amazing.
