CMC SS mags (30/06/2015)

Do not waste your money on these mags if you shoot fine 1911s, you'll end up embarrassed at the range. The follower does not have the "bump" to lock open slide after last round and just simply pushing downward on the front edge of the followers on all SS will cause the entire follower and spring to pop out and follower will disconnect from the small amount of spring its connected to. CMC will not replace or repair these mags so don't expect good customer service from them. While Brownells is a first rate company these mags are not! Spend a few extra dollars and buy the Wilson 47D, they do stand behind their products. Good luck.

I just tried the three magazines I purchased and must say, I am completely impressed. I've had issues with some of my magazines while shooting semi-wad cutter handloads but these magazines functioned flawlessly and smoothly. I will be buying more.

Graet Magazine for my 1911 (29/01/2012)

I bought these mags for my Springfield 1911 A1 and they worked great. These mags fed the rounds smoothly and locked my slide back after the last round was fired. Great magazines.

Bought these for my Para GI Expert. Good mags. Seem to be real good quality. A little pricey, but you have to pay for quality... especially if you may be betting your life on it someday.

Excellent mags for the money (21/06/2013)

Was very skeptical of these mags due to an experience with a "Shooting Stars" mag 20 years ago. Glad I decided to give them a try. These are MUCH better than those old 8rd'ers of yesteryear. Very high quality build, strong springs, and has been extremely reliable with my Ruger SR1911. I was especially glad to see these come with the wadcutter-type feedlips vs the hybrid-type found on the Checkmates. Went a head and ordered a few more.

WORST MAGAZINES I EVER PURCHASED (07/12/2015)

I used two Ed Brown Kobra Carries and Two Springfield Armory 1911's one a Target and the other an m1A1 with adjustable sights to run the CHIP MCCORMICK mags through their paces.The above pistols never had any feeding problems with any ammo using Ed Brown Mags, Wilson or Springfield Mags That ammo list has four brands of self defense hollow points and also round nose and flat nose ammo from a variety of manufacturers. The CHIP MCCORMICK mags nose dived every second round of the self defense ammo with a few stops and jams as they emptied.They also failed to feed, on a regular basis, the round nose and flat nose ammo.

I use the Chip McCormick magazines for competition and carry. They function great, very easy to load and I love the ease of locking a full mag with the slide closed. So far they're perfect.
