Not the best but they work. (11/10/2010)

Not bad for the price. A lot of them were mis-cut so they were not perfect circles. Loose strands is also an issue. I'll use what I have but I wouldn't buy these again.

I used a different brand of cotton patches for years. Despite the one unhappy review for these patches, I decided to order a bunch (over $100.00). They are EXCELLENT! As good, or better than what I was using. I will definately order more in the future.Good for both rifles and pistols.

Your bore is round, use a round patch.

These patches fit a .22 bore snugly and don't come apart like other patches. Round patches work much better in a .22 than square patches. I've tried many other patches and these are by far the best.

cleaning various barrels both at the range and at home. Cloth works much better than the new synthetics, even distribution & less "dripping".

Best Patch for .223 AR-15 Barrels (18/05/2010)

These patches fit my .223 AR-15 barrels perfectly and don't come apart like the other patches I've used. I've tried several name brand patches that are supposed to fit .22 centerfire bores, but these are absolutely the best. You don't want a patch that's so loose it won't clean effectively, or so tight that it might get stuck. Thank you Brownells for providing such a high quality product!

Too big to a .22 jag push (09/03/2011)

Great patches but are too large for a proper push-through with a .22 jag. Better suited for loop-through ends and .223 and larger calibers.

The best patches (12/05/2017)

I prefer round patches on a jag. Even distribution as the rod goes through the bore makes for more uniform cleaning and oiling. These patches are soft, durable, and don't fray at the edges. My preferred patch, hands down!

Works great and doesn't come apart like other patches. Works perfectly when wrapped around the Parker Hale style jags. Won't be using any other patches.
