The best trigger group on the market (29/02/2020)

The trigger is crisp and positive, easy to install the results are amazing over the standard Ruger Mr Universe unit. If you want to enjoy your 10/22 buy the Timney Trigger unit. don’t suffer with the factory unit.

I must be kiving RIGHT !!! I GOT MINE (05/12/2011)

The stock trigger does not do this little rifle justice. I fixed it all up put a big Barrel on it and made it into a 17m3The heavy bolt and the soft bolt stop on it then I put in the flat head screws in place of the roll pins.920 barrel With a cut down Axiom stock and a slider butt peice it swings Lovit lovit rbitt.. a 10x40 by 50mm scope makes it a tack driver out to 150yds or a bit more I am shooting .345in 5shot groups at 100yds. So I can hang with the big dogs..................

replaced a different trigger system with the timney and i must say it works flawlessly and for less money.
great quality and workmanship. it doesn't get any better.
and the mag release is tops.

I have had this trigger assy for about 6 months and really like it. Makes the 10-22 a lot more fun to shoot. Trigger pull is clean and crisp. The bolt hold open device is really great, just pull back on the bolt and it releases. The mag release is also great, nice positive release. Hope to take it to appleseed soon.

Timney Trouble (26/02/2013)

Very easy install and worked cycling dummy rounds through it for about 10 cycles, then rifle bolt began to stick/lock repeatedly. Reinstalled old trigger housing and everything worked perfectly. Then put the Timney module back it and bolt continued to stick/lock. Something is out-of-spec. Contacted technical support and was advised they have had a few problems with this trigger, "they haven't quite gotten it right yet". Suggested I look at Volquartsen and another. Agreed! Great customer service at Brownells as usual!

Outstanding trigger assembly (16/10/2011)

My 10/22 is just a plinker, standard stock and barrel, but I decided to treat myself to a better trigger and a better way to drop empty mags from the rifle. This Timney is the answer. You will have to search high and wide to find a better trigger. Light, crisp, precise. The lever that releases the mag smooths up that operation, not to mention making it easier when inserting a loaded mag. I can't say enough about this outstanding product. WP Georgia

Great Hunting Trigger (27/07/2013)

Built a 10/22 using:

Timney 10/22 Drop-In Trigger Assembly 883-000-038WB -- great trigger, drop in with no fitting required. The lever magazine release is a great addition, helping with making the rifle a little more ambidextrous. The spring loaded bolt release works as we are accustomed to unlike the factory release. The trigger pull is crisp and clean reminiscent of the Jewel triggers on my 700. The trigger is a vast improvement over factory. 4 stars as the pull measured 3lbs on my Lyman gauge, preferred for hunting but as it is not adjustable I don't consider this a bench rest trigger.

ER Shaw Fluted 10/22 .920 Target Barrel, SS 100-004-747WB -- everything I was looking for. Looks great and shoots great. 1/2" groups at 75 yards on a 100 degree, 10 - 15 mph gusty day with 20 year old Remington Golden Bullet HP, very satisfying. The barrel dropped right into the action and was installed using the factory V-block without barrel droop. The V-block barrel retainer screws were just snugged. Checked with a set of headspace gauges and everything was fine and good to go. A 5 star barrel for sure.

Hogue 10/22 Overmolded Rifle Stock B/B Rubber Covering 408-220-100WB -- The stock I wanted was out of stock so I got this one to do the build. I am liking it. Feels good in hand and on the shoulder. Ambidextrous Bedding was accurate and felt solid. With the action screw torqued to 18 in-lbs the Shaw barrel was dollar bill free floated from 1" behind the flutes to the muzzle. The semi-varmint fore end is a joy in hand or on a bag. 4 Stars as the fore end will flex enough to touch the barrel with moderate straight line side hand pressure, a hasty sling or tight sling. Still I may well forget about the stock I wanted that cost 2-1/2 times as much, this one shoots and feels so good.

Volquartsen 10/22 Socket Head Takedown Screw 930-000-O26WB -- Comparing this screw to my factory screw it is about 2-1/2 threads shorter. However it fit this build just fine, earning it 5 Stars. It and the receiver handled 18 in-lbs of torque without problem.

Best drop in trigger group (05/03/2015)

This is the best drop in trigger group I've tried. East to install. Great feel, and break. Reset is perfect. Looks great. Mag release is a nice change. Finally, the bolt catch is more user friendly.

Timney is the go to trigger group for me!
