Replaced my old magazine spring (15/01/2014)

I have had a sporterized Mauser since I was a kid. It has always had feeding issues. I recently decided to dress it up a bit, and took it down to refinish all the worn metal and apply a texturized finish to the metal. Upon inspection, I found the original magazine spring was cracked, and causing the magazine follower to push towards one side. I bought this brownells magazine spring to replace the old one, and upon inspection of the new spring, I realized not only was my old spring cracked, it was seriously worn out with much less tension. This new spring has taken my finicky mauser to rock solid. I was so happy with the improvement, I also order the alminum magazine follower, new guard screws, and a nice leupold scope.

The new spring fit in the original magazine follower and magazine floor plate without modification. It fit tight, and had just the right amount of compression/tension

This fit my Yugo M48 perfectly after the factory spring broke.Only down side is, it doesn't allow you to push the 5 round below the bolt to carry on an empty chamber with a full magazine.
