I like it!(27/09/2009)
I've switched out my hunting M1's and my tactical M1's. This is a high quality product and makes releasing the bolt a breeze, especially under 3-gun competition stress. It might not really be necessary for the pheasant gun but I like it there anyway. Easy to install.
should be OEM equipment for a Benelli(17/12/2010)
Part might seem expensive for what it is but if you are a high volume shooter it is worth it. It fits all the weapons listed but I have personaly installed it on a Supersport and it functions flawlessly with no modification. Easy to install with a punch and hex wrench, just follow the included instructions.
Perfect fit on M2, well designed(23/09/2012)
I originally wanted the Nordic Components bolt release, mainly because that was used on the M2 3-Gun edition. However, Nordic required the user to drill/tap the stock latch - or buy an extra latch to drill/tap. GG&G was the only manufacturer to supply a new catch ready to install. GG&G basically faced-off the stock latch button and kept two strips of the knurled surface to prevent rotation of the button. The button itself is chamfered and smoothed out, so it doesn't feel abrasive. It has not interfered with my operation of the M2 and would highly recommend it. It is very functional. Whereas I needed to use my thumb to push down the stock button, I can use my index finger to gently release the bolt. Even Magpul's Art of the Dynamic Shotgun DVD highlighted the fact the stock button should be replaced as soon as possible. It makes me wonder why Benelli doesn't just equip all of their shotguns with a larger button. Installation can be tricky. You need a long enough punch to remove the stock rollpin. My Starrett punch wasn't long enough so I ended up re-using the factory rollpin.
Mandatory equipment on all my Benellis(05/02/2015)
I have this bolt release / shell stop on all my Benelli shotguns. I first put one on my M2 and liked it so much I added them to the following shotuns; M2, M3, M4, Supersport II and it works perfectly on all of them. I put over 25,000 rounds through my Supersport before the shell stop portion of the bolt release cracked. I can't complain about the service life of the part since most shotguns don't see that kind of firing schedule. I just bought another one and installed it in 5 minutes. I can't recommend this part any more highly.
