Enhance your shooting experience with the SCOUT SCOPE MOUNT.

The SCOUT SCOPE MOUNT by XS SIGHT SYSTEMS is designed to provide you with the optimal benefits of the Scout Scope System with only minor gunsmithing required.

Product Features:

  • Puts a long eye relief scope just ahead of the receiver.
  • Attaches with two screws and accepts Weaver-style rings.
  • Model 099 fits large ring Mauser 98 military barrels and requires Acraglas® for installation (included).
  • Model 106 fits commercial bolt action, tapered sporter barrels.

Includes complete instructions for installation. To determine the correct mount for your barrel, measure just forward of the receiver:

  • If the barrel measures .980", order the 099 mount.
  • For bolt action Sporter barrels, order the 106 mount, which requires turning the barrel to a 1.05" diameter, with a minimum length of 1¾" forward of the receiver.

Definitely recommended

Brownells USA My Second Scout Mount 24/03/2017

My first Clifton Scout mount is on my Ruger M77 Mountain rifle riding in an old Six Enterprises plastic stock. This .308 eventually loosened the glass bedding compound as a result of rapid fire heating the pencil barrel and, of course, the mount. It was an easy fix with J-B Weld rated for higher temps found in my specific application. This is a robust product that has shown no appreciable wear in the 15(?) years I've had it. Note: bedding compound IS INCLUDED with the product.
