Product Description

The Apex Tactical FN 509 Action Enhancement Kit offers a lighter, smoother trigger pull with less pre-travel, a shorter overall pull length, and a quicker reset. It's designed as an easy-to-install replacement for your 509's factory trigger, trigger bar, and sear—essentially a drop-in DIY trigger job!

  • Drop-in replacement for factory trigger, trigger bar & sear
  • Will not alter function of factory safeties
  • Machined aluminum "flat-faced" trigger shoe with matte black hard-anodized finish
  • Polished stainless steel sear & trigger bar
  • Fits FN 509 chambered in 9mm Luger OR .40 S&W
  • Available in Black, Red, and FDE

Once installed, the Apex FN 509 Action Enhancement Kit will reduce the trigger pull weight to approximately 5.5 lbs; actual weight may vary slightly between different FN 509 units. Unlike the standard plastic factory trigger, Apex's trigger is crafted from machined aluminum featuring their signature "Flat Face," which many shooters find more comfortable and offers precise control similar to a 1911 target trigger.

Rest assured, the "AEK" will not compromise the function or reliability of your 509's factory trigger safety, firing pin safety, drop safety, or out-of-battery safety.

Brownells USA Part 2: Impossible to Install 11/10/2018

I called Apex today. They are aware of the problem. They advised me that approximately 1/3 of the FN 509s they installed triggers in they had to use a press to get the locking block pin out and even with the press they were hard to remove. They stated that this is really a problem with the FN 509 Tactical. They are working on making arrangements so customers can ship their FN 509s to them and they will do the install for free. They stated once they work this out they will make an announcement. Customer Service so far is excellent.

Brownells USA Impossible to install 10/10/2018

Bought this trigger for my FN 509 Tactical. The locking block pin on the FN 509 Tactical was impossible to get out. I pounded on it for 30 minutes with a full size hammer and was only able to get it approximately 1/4” out. I even bent a punch. I checked the Apex FN 509 disassembly video on YouTube. There were 15-20 comments from FN 509 Tactical owners commenting on the same problem with no answers. Make sure you can get the locking block pin out before you order this trigger. Waiting for Apex to answer all the YouTube comments. I will call them tomorrow. If they have a solution, I will write another review.
