Allows Rapid Switch From Right- To Left-Hand Carry

Steel, sling adapter replaces the standard issue, receiver plate to provide a rock solid attachment point for fast handling, tactical slings on CAR-15 rifles. Ambidextrous slots accept 1¼" wide webbing, rings accommodate carry straps with snap fasteners. Allows the sling to be switched from right or left side of receiver in seconds. Keeps sling tangle-free and provides the proper balance and stability for hands-free carry.

SPECS: Steel, Parkerized finish. 2-9/16" (6.5cm) long, 2-1/16" (5.2cm) high, 3/32" (2.4mm) thick. Fits CAR-15 rifles.

This adapter is great for the price. It works well for departments or agencies that may have multiple users for the rifle and need an ambidextrious mount. The only down fall is it is a little wide and may get in the way of the forward assist if you choose/have to use it. But for the price it is a good economical choice, and it works and is rugged

In use with a Magpul MOE stock, easy switch, is wide, but has never bothered me.
I like how it can be used for both sling types, works well.

works on pistol buffer tube (12/03/2016)

no one ever mentions fit for a pistol buffer tube, these fit once the notch is filed down which will match how the end plate / buffer assembly comes from the distributor.

the steel is not quite as soft as a similar ambi end adapter without the slots, but still able to be modified with a hand file in a few minutes.

this adapter does not interfere with the charging handle or forward assist.

i will make additional purchases of this product due to the price / performance.
