Upgrade your firearm with the Buehler-Style Low Safety from Timney!

The re-make of the famous Buehler Low Safety is here, offering a faster and much more convenient operation than the factory safety. This innovative design ensures it will not interfere with even the lowest mounted scopes.

Features:

  • Rotates through a 70° arc on the right side of the rifle.
  • Positive stops in both the "on" and "off" positions.
  • Securely holds the bolt and the striker in the locked position.
  • Precision CNC machined from high-quality steel.
  • Hardened at all wear points, polished, and blued.

Installation:

No machining is required for installation on M98 models. However, M93/96 may require grinding of the cocking piece.

Brownells USA Great part. Not so great instructions 29/09/2016

I might be fortunate. I see some other reviews where fitting was required. This wasn't the case with my rifle. The timney safety dropped right in and was an excellent fit in my BRNO VZ24.



The instructions were a little light. I think they could have been a little more descriptive with the directions. Thankfully I am familiar with how a 98 Mauser safety works, and was able to get it installed regardless. Had it not been for the light instructions I would have rated this part 5 stars.

Much easier to install than previous options. Looks great, works great. Take it to a smith for proper installation and testing because it is worth having on your Mauser.
