The result is the rigidity and stability of a heavy target barrel without the enormous weight penalty - your rifle is just as accurate but much easier to lug around! Since the carbon jacket on BSF .223 Wylde Carbon Fiber AR-15 Barrels contact only 5% of the inner barrel, there is an air pocket between the two that allows air to flow freely and keep the inner barrel cool.
