Challis hex drive bushings represent a breakthrough design, ideal for custom builds and replacing damaged bushings. These bushings utilize a 7/32” nut driver, allowing you to feel thread engagement and avoid the risk of cross threading damage. The robust hex head is engineered to handle the necessary torque for proper seating, ensuring no distortion or slippage that could scratch your firearm.

Key Features:

  • Easy Removal: Using the same driver, these bushings can be easily removed with no risk to the frame or bushing.
  • Reusable: Unlike traditional bushings, Challis bushings can be reused multiple times.
  • Optional O-Ring: Can be fitted with an optional O-ring to keep grips snugly in place, minimizing shock during discharge.
  • Frame Protection: O-rings help reduce scuffing from G10 and other abrasive grips, protecting fragile grips like ivory and mammoth tooth.
  • Enhanced Stability: Minimizes loosening of bushings caused by heavy grip materials such as G10, carbon fiber, and aluminum.
  • Shock Absorption: Using Challis grip screw O-rings with hex head bushings provides additional shock-absorbing protection for your gun, grips, and bushings.

Specifications: Suitable for grips not less than 0.24" thick.

For optimal performance, the use of 100-024-493 Challis Oversize Thread Bushing Tap is required.
