I bought this for my Taurus 1911. I messed up the factory bushing trying to make it look better. I bought this one because I thought it would fit without machining but IT DOES NOT. It was really close. I was able to do the work myself in the lathe and this was the first time that I have ever done this and was very simple.

Built oversized, the bushing needs to be fitted. Overall quality is excellent. If you didn't see it on the picture, the word Brown is stamped on the face.

Excellent for custom fitting (11/04/2014)

Used to tighten barrel to slide fit for a 1911 in 40 S&W. You should have access to a lathe and mandral to cut exterior surface to match slide and boring bar for the interior to match barrel. The finish is excellent, no tool marks and machined very nicely.

Perfect fit. Replaced an old bushing on a 45 Mk 7 and a large suppressor on an 45 AMT long slide. Both dropped right in and do the job!

Drop in fit for Kimber and Colt (18/03/2014)

After trying an EGW "drop in" bushing for a Kimber Tactical Custom II HD, I went with this Ed Brown bushing. dropped right in while still fitting snugly. Later I changed it into a mid 80s Mk IV Colt, and it dropped in perfectly there as well.
