Unknown Torque Value 20/05/2014
I bought this torque to use to mount scopes and to torque guard screws. The operation manual states that the wrench needs periodic re-calibration so I called the manufacture in North Dakota to ask how often this wrench should be re-calibrated. They told me that even though the wrench in new they can not guarantee that it is calibration because they do not know how long it has been sitting on the shelf. Their recommendation is that after you buy it you send it to them to have the calibration checked. This check cost $45, and if they have to fix anything it will cost $90. They also recommended that the wrench be re-calibrated every year or every 5,000 clicks. The wrench cost $162.99. so if you are planing to buy one of these you should budget for the price of the wrench pulse the $45 to get it calibrated $207.99.
