The Tools & Sights You Need To Install Or Replace Shotgun Bead Sights

Everything you need to achieve a Professional shotgun sight repair or installation. Each kit includes the right drill bit and bottoming tap, plus sight(s) to help you clean up existing threads or install a sight with a larger, stronger shank. The Brownells 6-48 Kit features two, #4 brass front beads. Each Bradley kit has an Ivory, Bradley-type front sight.

SPECS: Bradley sights have 3⁄32" (2.38mm) long shanks. Sunspot sight has 5⁄32" (3.96mm) long shanks.

Worked just like it is supposed to. Beaded a shotgun. Use a drill press. Probably should have used a smaller bead.

Used this kit on two different shotguns so far. Was very pleased with the tooling included. Very high quality. Both guns drilled easily and the tap was very sharp and cut nice threads. Both beads screwed right in and were tight. A good value and I still have both beads that came with the kit if I need them.

One bead was installed on an old single shot, pivot type shotgun owned by my grandfather. It provides a bead where one was missing.

Drilled and threaded cleanly (10/02/2014)

Drilled and threaded barrel cleanly and easily, but the #4 bead included in the kit threaded a little loosely in the tapped threads. You'll probably want to use a fair amount of Loctite.

I'm an armorer and instructor, not a gunsmith. YMMV.
