The 8" Stitched Muslin Wheel is primarily used for initial cleaning to remove old finishes and rust, preparing metal for a bright finish.
Loose Muslin Wheels are used after each grit change to smooth out marks and prepare for the next finer grit, and for final finishing before bluing.
It is important to use multiple sections for each wheel, never mix grits on the same wheel, and clearly mark the wheel with the grit number and rotation direction.
