The base is a one-piece Picatinny rail precision machined from extruded 7075 T6 aluminum, designed to fit Savage 10-16 Round Back Short Action models without drilling or tapping.
It allows for quick adjustments to eye relief and supports both Picatinny and Weaver scope rings, with cross-slots gauged to MIL-STD 1913 specifications.
The heavy-duty base is .100" lower than lightweight models to reduce weight and improve accuracy, and it comes with Torx® screws, wrench, and a recommendation for 20 inch lbs of torque with blue loctite.
