Wolff's TYPE A 7 lb. recoil spring is designed for 1911 Auto in .45, .38 Super, or 9mm with target (softball) loads and should not be used with standard (hardball) loads.
It comes with an extra power firing pin spring to ensure the firing pin stop remains in place, preventing firing pin float.
The spring is recommended for use when lighter bullets or powder charges are used to ensure proper functioning of the firearm.
