Made for Brownells by Shilen to match the factory contour. Upgrade the performance and accuracy of Remington 700 rifles without costly stock work. Match-grade, short-chambered barrels have the correct contour to drop into Remington factory or aftermarket stocks with little-to-no barrel channel modifications. Install with your factory recoil lug. Muzzle is cut at 90° to the bore and ready for crowning. After installation, use a hand-turned, finish reamer to deepen chamber until correct headspace is reached. (Correct headspace gauges and reamer required.)

Definitely recommended

Brownells USA accurate barrel 30/12/2017

Bought this barrel last winter for a low budget DIY hunting rifle project. I carefully measured and trued up a donor 700 action, finish reamed the chamber to minimum headspace, epoxy bedded the action to a factory camo stock, & finished the metal with Rust-oleum spray paint! After fitting a Leupold 3x9, I proceeded to shoot groups as small as an honest 5/8". Good barrel.

Brownells USA Excellent Replacement 09/08/2016

Replacement barrel for BDL - chamber reaming easy. Test round consistency excellent. Retained 26" length. Inexpensive way to restore a Rem 700BDL with 3,000 round count shooting like a Blunderbuss, into a precision rifle. Shilen barrels are exceptional, I own several.
