It features a .223 Wylde chamber that is optimized to deliver excellent performance from both military 5.56x45mm NATO and civilian .223 Remington ammunition, including long, heavy (up to 80 grain) target bullets. Aero put a longer gas tube on the M4E1 .223 Wylde Assembled Rifle Receiver to slow down gas velocity for gentler cycling that leads to improved reliability and reduced wear on moving parts and the receiver. The 16" barreled model comes with a Mid-Length gas system, while the 18" barrel comes with a Rifle-Length gas tube. The M4E1 .223 Wylde Assembled Upper Receiver delivers all the other benefits of Aero Precision’s M4E1 receiver line. Bolt/carrier group and charging handle are both omitted so you can chose those parts from the many aftermarket offerings to suit your needs. The forged M4E1 receiver offers a unique "billet-like" appearance, while accepting standard AR-15 "mil-spec" parts. Forged 7075 T6 aluminum receiver, Mil 8625 Type 3 Class 2 hardcoat anodized Ejection port cover & forward assist installed Handguard: length - 15"; 1.78" inside diameter clears most muzzle devices and 1.5" suppressors Low-profile gas block under the handguard A2-style flash suppressor Bolt/carrier group & charging handle NOT included Non-Fluted 416R stainless steel target barrel, 1-8" rifling 16" barrel - MID-LENGTH gas system 18" barrel - RIFLE-LENGTH gas system Aero Precision has fitted the M4E1 .223 Wylde Assembled Upper Receiver with their latest Gen 2 Enhanced 15" M-LOK Handguard to form a solid, monolithic accessory mounting platform. The full-length Picatinny top rail runs from the rear of the receiver to the front edge of the handguard (with no gap or seam between), with plenty of M-LOK accessory attachment slots and multiple QD sling swivel sockets. Texturing milled into the flats help you maintain a better grip, while adding to your gun’s unique appearance.
