The Sight Base Cutter is specifically designed for cutting 65° dovetails on standard and mil-spec 1911 Autos, as well as other sights like Wichita Hi-Mount and older Bo-Mar.
It has an actual cutting diameter of .330" and may require multiple passes for installation to accommodate factory variations and milling tolerances.
This solid carbide cutter is 2" long with a 3/8" diameter shank, intended for use in a milling machine only and is designed to resist wear even when cutting hardened steel pistols.
