This item did not live up to the hype. Compared to an actual LMT SOPMOD, this stock fits very loose on a mil-spec tube, and it's quality is sub-par. I returned this item.

Fit my colt 6940 nice and tight only complaint is they could have done a better job deburing the edges but a easy fix

Best AR Stock Ever (28/01/2012)

I've tried a number of stocks and this one is by far the best. It will not snag a beard like some of the stocks that have slots on the side of the cheekpiece and it's rock solid on the buffer tube. The recoil pad is sufficient to make shooting a light AR-15 in .458 SOCOM a pleasure.

Adequate, hardly exceptional (12/01/2014)

I bought this based on the rave reviews all over the net, but am just not that infatuated with it. The quality is a couple notches below a Magpul or Vltor. My example had pronounced mold lines, and sharp edges. It fit reasonably tight on the tube and didn't wobble like an OEM carbine stock, but the lever felt like the fulcrum was in the wrong place, took a lot of pressure, and felt cheap compared to a CTR or EMod. It's lightweight, looks okay on the rifle, and the cheek weld is good, but no better than some other stocks on the market. My advice would be to buy a stock you like rather than succumbing to the "tactical" internet hype.

Best stock I own (07/10/2014)

This is a great stock. fits tight on a mil spec tube. My preference with stocks is that if you have position numbers on your tube, you have a hole to see the numbers through. Likewise, if you do not have numbers, you do not have a hole. This stock has a hole to read position numbers on you tube.

Best feeling stock (08/11/2014)

I shouldered every brand, make and model of stock before I tried a B5 SOPMOD and nothing, and I literally mean nothing, came close to the feel of the B5. The cheek weld has just the right width and height to actually make an AR/M4 comfortable to shoulder and shoot. Couple the B5 with an American AR Gold trigger and your AR/M4 almost feels like a precision bolt gun.

Words mean nothing - try them for yourself.

B5 Enhanced Sopmod Stock (04/08/2016)

I wanted a SOPMOD stock for my DDM4 carbine but didn't think that paying $200.00 for an LMT was too reasonable of a price. Found the B5 SOPMOD Enhanced here (my 'go to' web site, by the way, for anything firearm or firearm related products), for under $100.00. After reading the reviews I wasn't totally convinced that this product was 'up to snuff', but I figured I give it a try anyway. Besides, Brownell's has a fantastic return policy (that I very, very seldon need to take advantage of). Of course shipping was great as usual and I received it within 3 days of my order. The B5 SOPMOD stock slipped right onto my (milspec) receiver extension (buffer tube) with zero problems. Nice snug fit, and operated perfectly in all 6 positions. Perfect, comfortable cheek weld, and shoulders perfectly as well. Fit, finish, and over-all quality are exceptional. I really can't think of any negative comments about it. Oh, you have to remove the stock to access the water proof storage compartments. Yippi, No big deal. This stock is well worth the price. I've been running a MagPul STR stock (also purchased from Brownells several years ago) and liked it well enough, but I prefer this B5 SOPMOD much better for the reasons I listed. The person(s) who gave this stock poor review(s) must have recieved a stock that slipped through QC or something. This is a great stock, and a perfect upgrade for any (appropriately configured) AR platform that utilizes a milspec receiver extension.

Excellent Stock - Same as LMT (02/05/2017)

The Enhanced B5 SOPMOD stock is excellent. It fits tight on mil-spec buffer tubes and provides the best cheek weld of any adjustable stock I have used. It is exactly the same stock as LMT provides on many of their rifles. The LMT product is obviously marked with their company logo and this is marked B5 but, other than that and being half the price, I can detect no difference and I own both. LMT makes some of the finest AR rifles in the world, so they would be expected to know and select the best quality stocks available.

B5 Enhanced SOPMOD (29/09/2017)

Excellent cheek weld, plenty of storage, and locks up pretty tight. A lot of people gripe about removing the stock from the buffer tube to access the storage tubes, but it's easy to get to and comes off and goes back on easy so it's not a big deal. QD sling mount attachment as well if you need it. Very nice and sturdy stock to have especially if you need some storage. 6 CR123 batteries will fit in the tubes. Always nice to have those since those batteries burn out quick from lights and such. Would definitely recommend this.

So comfortable! (01/12/2017)

I bought two these for around $55 on sale. I have been trying to choose between keeping my MagPul CTR stock or upgrading to a BCM Mod 0 or the B5 Sopmod. When the B5 came I was really surprised by the size of it. It's much bigger than either of the other stocks. After adding it to my rifle and trying it out though it feels amazing MUCH better than the other two and I like the battery compartments too. So long story short I have a MagPul CTR stock and BCM Mod 0 stock for sale!
